First Attempt
This project was to create a mock soft book cover inspired by the novel ‘The Last Boleyn’ by Karen Harper. I wanted to respect the history of the subject matter while also trying to make the type feel fresh and simple.
Below are my first draft at this book cover. I decided against going with the illustration because I felt it didn’t match the text and it left the cover feeling like two separate entities. I wanted more color and text that would compliment the cover not fight with it.
