This project was aiming to create a magazine spread inspired by the Artist Nina Chanel Abney, who is a current working contemporary pop artist. Her use of simple shapes and strong bold colors is a huge part of her work. I wanted to incorporate her visual language into the design of these spreads. By duplicating and recreating these shapes they give a balance to the composition while also relating to the simple yet expressive san serif fonts chosen.
